Welcome! The photograph album, which you have just opened, pays tribute to the world exhibition EXPO 2000. This event took place between 1 June and 31 October 2000 in Hanover, Germany. 180 nations and international organisations came to Lower-Saxony's capital in order to address the themes of "Mankind - Nature - Technology" and to give visitors an understanding of their culture. Many visitors have grown fond of the wonderful national and theme days, the lively entertainment programme, the sophisticated pavilions and stands as well as the interesting thematic areas and global projects. Now you have the opportunity to take a trip around the world once again and to look at the highlights of EXPO 2000 on 700 photos.
